ConocoPhillips was recently honored as one of America’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens by Forbes and Just Capital. The 900 largest public companies in the U.S. were evaluated on 10 metrics weighted according to their importance to the American public, based on survey. The Top 100 is made up of three or four companies from each sector. It is the first year for the list to be published.
For the Oil, Gas & Consumable Fuels sector, the top 12 ranked companies were:
“The ranking is a great example of the value of our sustainability external communications,” said Cathy Cram, ConocoPhillips Director, Public Policy, Government Affairs and Sustainable Development Communications. “We ranked second out of 48 Oil, Gas & Consumable Fuels companies and were notably above average on Product Attributes, Community Well-Being and Supply Chain Impact. The ConocoPhillips-specific report mentioned the Global Water Sustainability Center in Qatar, our Water Action Plan, and our Stakeholder Engagement Action Plan.”
