I have lived in Alaska for XX years and am writing regarding the recently published Willow Draft EIS.

I am personally excited by the many benefits the Willow project would bring to both the state and national economies through job creation during engineering, fabrication, construction, drilling and operations, tax and royalty payments to government, and stimulation of dozen of support industries.

Alternative B would reduce environmental impacts versus other alternatives by requiring less gravel fill, fresh water and aircraft flights, while improving access for local residents, even in inclement weather.

The Willow project is designed to meet new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requirements to reduce volatile organic compounds and methane emissions, one of the first on the North Slope.
